Our Team

Meet the team that makes it all happen

Polly McConachie

Director

Polly joined the a/c industry in 1984 as a sales representative working the South West and Wales territories.  Founder member of AMP which was established in 1989 and now has a 46 strong team.  Polly is married with two sons aged 20 and 22 and three cats of an undetermined age.  Enjoys cycling, cooking, films, cricket, the company of friends and the company of wine – red, white and rose.

Looking to the future she is planning on becoming a fully paid-up member of the infamous ‘Barmy-Army’ supporting England cricket around the world – most notably, Australia, Dubai and of course, the Caribbean.  Let’s hope these glorious destinations have half-decent air conditioning!

Martin Michaelson

Director

From Our Price Records to air conditioning distribution, an obvious career path for an ambitious twenty something in the early Eighties!

Launching AMP with Polly in 1989, Martin’s masterplan was retirement at 40; he failed miserably and unfortunately (for him) he is still here to tell the tale.

Phil Crouch

Sales Engineer

I joined AMP in 2001, has it really been that long. After previously working for other distributors & manufacturers in the air conditioning industry.

I have worked in the internal sales team all that time helping customers with the application & design of their projects and providing pre-sales technical advice.

Being a long suffering armchair QPR supporter I am used to the ups downs of following a mediocre football team.

Katie Smith

In any free time left she likes to have the odd glass of wine to kick back and relax. Sarah enjoys being round people and enjoys talking to all walks of life. She is outward going and always talks to people how she likes to be talked.  Having 2 children has ensured that she has the patience of a saint and fortunately if only by luck a full head of hair.

Gary James
